Truth Tuesday

GoodHey everybody, if you are in warm weather I don't like you! Jk, It's so cold in Philadelphia I can't even feel my toes :(. So I got good news, I got a interview!!!!! I'm actually at my second interview today. Somebody finally called me. It's a part time offer but it's better than nothing. I will be merchandising and that is something I love to do so I'm happy. It's also tax time which makes me even more happier. On the diet tip, I am not doing good. I was slacking a lot a bit but I will get back on track as soon as a get a schedule going. I was thinking of getting a waste trainer so I can get that coke bottle look(still a thick girl so like a thick coke bottle.) I'm not a expert on it, so please, if you have any thoughts about it, advice, suggestions please let me know. I heard that so many people were wearing the trainer and not training lol. I 100% intend on working out and eating right while wearing this thing, I don't wanna be the girl who wears it out and acts like that's really what my stomach look like. Valentines day is approaching and I don't know if I have a Valentine :( I'm scared to go on date lol; it's just not what it use to be. Oh well, maybe it will be me, a nice wine and Netflix. Oooohhhh and 50 Shades of Grey comes out ooooohhh. I definitely need to go see that. Even though I don't agree with the casting for Christian Grey; in my head I pictured him totally different. Let me know if you agree???? I have to go now they calling me for my interview, wish me luck. A Time To Remember

It is black history month and I wanted to do something special. There are so many African American Legends that have pave the for me, as women of color to be free to choose and succeed at whatever I put my mind to. Since this is a fashion blog I have chosen some African American fashion designers to feature each week for the month of February, that weather you know it or not, have made a impact in fashion history. This week I wanna feature Ann Lowe. Ann was high societies secret weapon. She designed one of a kind clothing for New York society families like the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts. she also created a amazing gown for actress Olivia de Havilland that she wore the night she won an Oscar for best actress in 1946. Ann Lowe's most famous client was the first lady herself Jackie Onassis! Anne was the designer of the wedding dress worn by Jack O when she married John F. Kennedy and also created all the dresses for the bridesmaid as well. No one ever knew Ann Lowe's name, when someone was asked who was the designer they would respond "it wash some colored women." Well now everyone knows your name! Ann Lowe you were an amazing designer and inspiration to us all.

Madly In Love Monday

It's the winter but that doesn't mean you still can't look red hot this Valentines day. She looks so sexy, this is definitely a step up from her girl next door look you normally see on the Jane The Virgin actress. I love the styling especially the black and white chevron blazer. Just lovely!

What's The T Thursday: How would you feel if your man or women had a "on a break" baby?

First of all let me start this is off with screaming at the top of my lungs SCANDAL IS BACK!! It was a long as winter break but it's over and I am all smiles. Anyway back to telling you what the T is this Thursday. So rapper Ludacris recently won custody of his "on a break" baby with a young lady by the name of Tamika Fuller. The court awarded him custody because apparently he was the more stable parent. They felt Tamika was not financially stable enough to take care of their 13 month old baby girl Cal. Now this would be all fine in good because the important thing is that he child is being well taken care of but there is a rumor going around that Ludacris doesn't have good intentions for going to court to fight for custody. Allegedly Luda only wanted to fight for custody to avoid the $7,000 a month child support he would have to pay to the mother of his child. Tamika has been rumored to say that Ludacris has never seen the 13 month old child since she was born, wanted her to get an abortion and thought that if she had the baby it would ruin his career. She was also rumored to say that he rushed into the marriage with wife Eudoxie in order to help his efforts at getting custody. After hearing all the rumors I hope that #1 regardless of the drama their daughter is taken care of and doesn't have to deal with her parents drama, #2 I think it is sad that a mother has to be separated from her child, and has to deal with a another women taking over her roll as a mother and #3 I feel bad for Eudoxie having to deal with the drama and that the marriage might have been based of Luda just trying to avoid paying child support.Think about when/if you were on a break from your boyfriend, which is never really "a break"( I'm sure they were still talking and sleeping together, maybe not, I doubt it though) and you reunite and it feels so good, only to come find out he had a whole baby while you were gone. No matter what rules and conditions you both set while on this break it still has to hurt. A similar thing happened with Gabrielle Union who's husband also had a "on a break" baby. My question is how would you feel if your man or women had a baby while you were on a relationship break and would you be able to accept the child? Me personally, love is a crazy thing, I can't say that I wouldn't accept the child because it's not the child's fault and we were on a break . At the same time seeing the child, knowing that the person I loved had sex and had a baby with someone else would definitely hurt my feelings and I would feel some type of way about the entire situation. Regardless of how I felt, if I was truly was in love, I can't say for a fact that I wouldn't stay and deal with the current situation the best was I could.  How do you feel about this topic?
