My style star this Sunday is the one and only Jennifer Lopez. She is a mother, an actress, a singer, clothing designer and American Idol mentor & judge. I'm also convinced that she may be a vampire because SHE NEVER AGES!! (JK) What I love about her style is she can wear anything and look amazing in it. She can go from Jenny From The Block which is like street style timberland (heels of course), baggy pants, crop top, To Jennifer Lopez which is very lady like princess, To JLO which is like dddddaaaaammmmmnnnnn girl sexy. Along with the fab style are hair and makeup is always on point. I always look forward to seeing her on the red carpet because she never disappoints. I have always been a fan and will continue to be one, not only because she is amazingly talented  but she also is a style icon. Fashion Friday: #Style Has No Size

Its Fashion Friday and today I want to feature UK Plus Size Fashion Week!!!!!! The event resides in London and is the biggest plus size event in the UK. It was held September 11th-13th 2015 and showcased not only amazing plus size fashion but also delivered an amazing message which is Style Has No Size! This makes me feel great seeing women of all shapes and sizes being embraced by the fashion world. I wish I could have been there :(. What's The T Thursday: Ladies Would You Propose to Your Man or Fellas How Would You Feel If You Women To ProposeTo You????

So lets get right into it, 3 days ago in Paris it was rumored that momager Kris Jenner got down on one knee and proposed to her long time boyfriend Corey Gamble and incase you are a Kardashians Stan, worry not, E! cameras are everywhere, so I'm sure if this really happened you'll be able to see the whole thing. Just to give you a little back story on Cory, He is friends with a lot of Hollywood folk and works in talent management. They are 22 years apart Kris is 58 and Cory is 33. The couple have been dating a year, their romance started October 2014. Rumor has it that all the K's love Cory but Cory's kids don't like Kris Jenner (oh how interesting thanksgiving dinner will be.) Now even though this is a HUGE age gap, despite what you feel about her, I think she has been through a lot personally. You know the whole separation, divorce, and the big surprise that she had no idea was going happen with ex husband Bruce Jenner now Catelyn Jenner. I figure if she is happy then Dammit, I'm happy for her.... The question I want to ask is How Do You Feel, Ladies, Proposing To Your Man? Also Fellas How Would You Feel If Your Lady Proposed To You???? Ok so this is how I feel....I am a little traditional in a sense I do feel the man should propose to the women. I feel like men are usually the ones hesitate to get married and if my man proposes to me it lets me know that he is ready for that next step. In my opinion the only time I would propose to man is if my man either tried to propose or told me he was ready for marriage and I was the one that expressed hesitation. To let my man know, yeah I'm ready for this, I would have no problem proposing to him. Whack Wednesday: Are You Sure You Are Plus Size??

What's Whack this Wednesday is when certain websites "claim" that they are PLUS SIZE. I can't stand when I go to a clothing website for plus size women and they only go up to a 3x (and not even a true 3x); This is frustrating. Some websites will go up to a 3x top but stop at a size 22 pant???? Plus size women have curves and come in different shapes and sizes. I personally believe if you are catering your company to plus women you shouldn't just stop at one size; I believe that all sites should at least go up to a 5x/28. Different fabrics feel and stretch in different ways. I feel that bigger sizes are just a must have. For example if you have a big bust (like me) and you wanna buy a button up shirt,you would have to get a bigger size then you normal do. The same thing goes for coats and jackets sometimes you have to buy bigger then your normal sizes. If the company only goes up to a certain size you can't buy the shirt, coat etc.; now how unfair is that, your on a website for "your size" but they don't have your size wtf. I also noticed that websites also "claim" they have bigger sizes but they really are just for women with no curves. Like a women like me can't get my normal size 26 jeans because apparently it does not fit my big butt here, but if I go to another store the jeans fit perfect. I really wonder if companies stop to have real women try on their clothes before they mass produce them??? If anything why can't your site carry different "fits" to accommodate all shapes?  Ok so maybe I'm too hard on these people but this really GRINDS MY GEARS (Peter Griffin reference lol.) I would like to give a special award at this time to Layne Bryant even though I get my clothes form all over the globe at Layne Bryant ( yet pricey at times) I never have a problem with sizes there; so Layne Bryant your are the real M.V.P.....Hopefully someone can relate to this...Hope you enjoys this. Truth Tuesday: Should I Be Living For Today???

Hey everyone :)....so a lot has been on my mind. I have come to realize that the expectations that I have set for myself when I was younger has made me stressed out at now 29 because those things didn't happen when I wanted them to.... I am now at a cross roads. So I'm older so I'm thinking about the usual important things such has career, a home/apartment, job, having a relationship etc...but there are also things like the want/need to experience and enjoy life. For example I want to travel, meet people, go places that I never been, go on adventures, create memories...The problem with that is it all cost money. Finically I am a responsible person and as of late I have been doing my best to save, save, save but the frustrating part is that saving is great for the important things like getting my own apartment but the down side is I cant go no where! I'm stuck in the house because my money is basically being put away for a future purpose but I wonder sometimes should I be living for today? I have this fear that when I get older I'll look back on life with regrets. I'll think to myself there was so many things I should have done. Sometimes we all get caught up in our daily routine that we forget to "stop and smell the roses." Its the struggle of things that I want and things that I need. The best thing would be to find a better job so that I can have more money which would allow me to do both. The only problem is due to the economy that may take awhile to get the pay I'm asking for. Sometimes I wish that I could go away for a week, eat something I never ate before, do lots of shopping, meet new people (possible near beach.) but then you come back from the amazing trip and realize what important things you could have used that money for :( I trying to find a balance between planning for the future and making memories today. Also trying to not think sooooooooo much about how old I am and what place in life I should be in right now.. I have decided to make a bucket this of things of all the things I want to do, fun things, a way to make sure that I do stop for a second to smell those damn red beautiful roses! A part of life is trying to find balance between work & play (or important for you future and what's a fun memory for today) I never want to leave this earth with regrets.

He is a young artist who is apart of Starship Entertainment. What I love about him is that is voice is sooooo amazing and very R&B. Whack Wednesday: The Word "Fat"

Hey everyone hope your having a good today, today is my day off..so I'm feeling Great! I'm sorry it took so long to post but emotionally I just had a lot going on but I can't let that stop this, something I love to do, sooooo I'm back starting this week where I left off which is Whack Wednesday! Now the word "FAT" is a word that is up for debate even with plus size women of weather the word is offensive or not. Some women have been using the word as a since of ownership, like I'm calling myself fat so you can't call me fat or if you call me fat it won't hurt as much because I already know or said this about myself, idk. Some women just don't give a f#@%! If they are called fat or if they call someone else fat. These women feel so what ...where fat, get over it! I have seen a lot of back in forth of some finding it hurtful, and some that could care less. For me personally I find this word Super Hurtful , If someone calls me fat it honestly take my confidence down a couple of notches. Why you ask? because this word was never, ever used by someone to make me feel good about myself. Calling someone FAT is not saying "oooohhh your so pretty" the majority of the time it is being use to make fun (unless you really into the thickness but even then its super creepy).I was talked about when I was younger and it took me until after high school to feel confident in my size and work my curves Even grown ass people like my family members who have No Chill!! Like to throw this word at me still (not always to be mean) but when someone uses that word towards me or I see someone being hurt by that word, especially the younger kids, it brings me back to those people in my school days who called me fat or made fun of me for being a big girl. Now with my friend I use to jokingly use the word but only with me and her about me and her but I knew not to call another person fat because that would be hurtful. For the women who are OK with the word I think that is great as long as deep down inside you are really ok with it but if your really not ok with don't call yourself fat, don't make fun of yourself to make others happy, F#@! Them! This doesn't just go for women but men also. I know your all tough guys but its ok if you don't like to be called names. The sad thing is that we (plus size women and men) call each other names. What is up with that?? I don't know if this is for every person but I think is a defense mechanism. I think anyone big or not who talks about another person has some since of insecurity about themselves. Young or old we control what comes out of our mouths this all takes time, growth and awareness to break old habits (I am including myself). Even though this goes for everyone I wanna say if you are plus size and you make fun of plus size people chill out, we are suppose to support each other...stop being a bitch (excuse my French.) If somebody finds the word offensive or hurtful even if you dont just dont say it no more....So I was thinking what are non-offensive words that still express the beauty of being plus(to me)...well duh plus size is not offensive, big girl is ok, bbw, pleasantly plump, thick, Voluptuous, Sexy AF or how about just say you look nice, cute pretty, handsome, beautiful loose the "size words" all together. I cant stand "you look pretty for a big girl" I look pretty any damn way (in the words of Mrs. Tamar Braxton) GET YOUR LIFE.!" So what is your opinion on this topic??? Truth Tuesday: Just Do It

Hey, Everybody :) It is 11:42pm and I am so happy to be in my bed. Sometimes it feels like I work 24hrs a day; even though I do have day off but long story short I am currently in love with my bed. So last week was my BIRTHDAY!(July12th) I turned 29 and I have to say I really enjoyed my birthday. I ate dinner with my family and my closet friend at the Cheesecake Factory (sooooo good) and I got my nose pierced!(It hurt like hell, but it was quick :) I'm a very laid back type of chick so this was my kind of celebrating. I don't really feel too much different, I have grown so much these last couple of years but things a pretty much the same. I have learned a lot about myself and there are still  a lot of things I want to change. I am the type of person who likes to analyze, complain (sometimes) and worry about things that I cant change but also about things I can change. I come to realize (which I should have realized along time ago) that I have no reason to complain about the things I can change I just need to shut the hell up about it and change it. I cant complain about still living where I'm living but I'm not saving the money to move. I cant complain about not loosing the amount of weight I want to loose if I'm not dieting or exercising. Life can be a simple thing if we sometimes pick the simple answer. Anything you want in life you have to work hard to make it happen. At the same time the things you want may not happen over night and you cant give up or loose patients. I am the only person reasonable for my happiness and the direction I want to take my life in. If something or someone makes me un happy I have to change it. Now I have preached this to other people but never practiced it myself. I would sulk and complain and vent to who ever would listen but that didn't make a difference; I had to take action. Sometimes I wished I could find that genie in the lamp, or hit the lottery and that would fix all my problems but that's not realistic. I have to work for the things I want and intend to continue to do so. It is talking FOREVER to get the things I want but that's life and I need to have patients. In time everything will be as it should be (don't know where I go this from...I think a movie.) I AM TAKING A STAND! I am not going to complain or worry...the things that I can change, I will change....the things I cant change I will try to turn into a positive and just deal with. Now I'm going to try and go to bed...I hope this all made since and I wasn't just rambling lol....Thank you soooooo much for reading and goodnight :)

Madly In Love Monday: Kehlani

Ok so this Monday I want to talk about a new artist named Kehlani. I was on my instagram and ran across my friends page who posted a video of her at Kehlani's concert and I just had to find out who this young lady was that all these fans where screaming for. Lucky for me she had a You Tube page and that is where I discovered all of her amazing music including one song in particular "You Should Be Here ." (Link Below) When I tell you I am obsessed with this song......I play this song so much, it's bad ya'll lol. This is one of those songs when you going through something with the man your with/want to be with (like I am now) and just want to sing this song at the top of your lungs (badly) because it feels like she wrote it just for you (crazy, I know lol.) Sooooo you wanna know a little bit more about her....yes you do :) So her name is Kehlani Parrish she is a R&B singer from Oakland California. Her style is chill,  r&b/hip hop, her lyrics are honest.... I feel like a lot of people can relate to what she is singing about, she can dance and her voice sounds soooo good, a little raspy, soulful, I love it. She has two mix tapes under belt including Cloud 19 (2014) and You Should Be Here (2015.) This year she signed with Atlantic Records and will be rereleasing my song (lol) You Should Be Here .  She has been through a lot in her life but she made it through the storm and now she is living her dreams and sharing her music with the world and I personally am a big fan. Whats The T Thrusday: How Much Would You Take??

Soooo it's Thursday and its time for the latest in gossip. I have been waiting since Monday to talk to you about Kourtney Kardashian and Scott (The Lord) Disick. So rumor has it that Kourtney FINALLY gave Scott the boot. They been in a relationship for 10 long years and to say their relationship has been a roller coaster is an under statement. If you "Keep Up With The Kardasians" ;) then you know that Scott has been a on and off hot ass mess. He has problems with alcohol and he loves to party, which is not the best thing for a man with three children. Kourtney is not completely innocent (I'm a equal opportunity blogger :) Kourtney is also known for being all about her children Mason, Penelope and new baby Reign, which she should be bbbbuuuuutttttt she is also known for not giving Scott any of the cookies (sex), being affectionate or emotional when it comes to Scott. Ever since she had her buddle's of joy Kourtney and Scott have been sleeping in separate bed rooms because the kids sleep in the bed with Kourtney. Now neither of their wrongs were doing great for the relationship, nor does this give passes to cheat. Also on top of everything Scott lost both his parents last year and has been a bit of a deep depression, which explains a lot. He has tried to get help multiply times but nothing worked. The recent public disrespect has pushed Kourtney over the edge "allegedly." On Monday Scott was photographed with ex girlfriend  Chloe Bartoli. For a man in a relationship it did look a little too friendly to me. After not only her but the WORLD seeing these pics Kourtney decided that she had enough and had to do what was best for the kids, which was to leave Scott. On one hand I thought to myself, a women can only take so much and I was thinking IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME KOURT but at the same time I personally do think that Scott needs loving, therapy and rehab and maybe the attention from his ex was something he needed. You never know and there is always three sides to the story, his side, her side and truth so none of really know it all but with all this as long as the kids are ok then everything else will be ok with time. Also Kourtney didn't take down any pics of her and Scott on instagram so this could all be a bunch of bull and Kourt to another one for the team (a.k.a her children.) My question to you is how much would you take from your man/women? What would it take for you to say "YOU KNOW WHAT GOT DAMN IT, IM OUT, LOOSE MY NUMBER, KEEP THE DOG" well maybe not keep the dog but you get what I'm say.,.....To me cheating is the finally straw, and I'm talking about when two privates meet under the sheets. I am the type of person that needs proof I never go by what somebody tells me because it is 50/50, I need to know 100% so it can sink in that he is a complete and utter ass hole. I don't believe once a cheater always a cheater but the insecurity that comes with knowing that my man cheated before is soooo emotionally draining and not good for the relationship so I would have to go. Whack Wednesday: Working Out Ruined My Hair

This Wednesday what is real whack is when your trying to change your life style, get healthy and workout but your terrified that your hair is going to be ruined! As a African American women, I know a lot of you can relate, there is a long process when we do our hair. In most cases we have to wash, condition, blow dry, and straighten. Even for women with relaxed hair, relaxer can still sweats out when working out. Its so frustrating, sweat is never our friend. We cannot wash our hair every day for so many reasons. I recently have been trying to get on my workout tip and right now I have braids but before I had the basic press and curl. When I would work out and feel good I would look at my hair and scream. All the curls sweated out. I would look like a hot ass mess. Even though working out and sweating is soooo good for your heath is great your really can suffer for it. So if your like me your wondering what to do??? Now I have my own way of keeping my hair together (don't know if its the best thing to do, but it works:) by either wrapping or rolling my hair before working out and I don't take it out until my hair is completely dry and nine times out of ten it comes out still good, still curled. Its also good to apply a leave in conditioner (small amount) to keep hair from drying out but I only recommend this more for women who are all the way natural and do protective hair styles because leave in conditioners still make your hair wet and your curls can still drop (my personal experience.) I also looked online and found some GREAT TIPS FROM EBONY MAG ! On Ebony.com they give 5 detailed tips on how African American women can protect their hair while working out and here is tip #1:
Protect Your Hair From Sweat
Protecting your hair from sweat as much as possible is a must. If you have long natural hair, placing it in a high ponytail or bun is the best method. If your hair isn’t long enough to pull back, protective styles such as twists and braids are strongly advised. After you’ve chosen your workout style, place a silk scarf or sweat headband around the edges of your hair. The more you sweat, the puffier your edges will become, and we all know that can be quite a monster to tame. I usually put my locs in a really high bun, and wrap my hairline with a silk scarf, making sure that both the front and back edges are covered.

Truth Tuesday: Me, Myself and I

Hey everyone :) How was your Fourth of July??? Mines was ok; good food and good eats. I didn't get a chance to really see the fireworks because I have to go to bed early on Saturdays :( (work starts at 4am) but I damn sure heard them b#@%tes until 1 am and there is something that is pissing me the f off Fourth of July is over and they still going on with the fireworks! If I didn't live in the hood I would curse everyone out! Anywho.... The one thing that was missing was a special someone :(. It's crazy how you can be surrounded by all the people in the world but you still feel alone. I just haven't found the "one" yet, maybe next July 4th...Dear future husband you, me and fireworks makes three.. Next July 4th love bae :) lol. Until then it's just me, myself and I. I have been trying to work on me but some days are better then others. I don't know if your like this but when I'm sad, or feeling some type of way (in my future voice) I can't function. Like when I'm happy and things are good its like the best motivation in the world. I have to change my way of thinking. I have to get things done and I will. I cant let things that I cant change effect my life; life is waaaayyy to short for that. Some lighter news I decided to change my room around:) I love to decorate so adding a few new changes to my room will give me something fun to focus on. This involves some shopping and even though I am saving sometimes you gotta treat yourself.....right??? So I got some stuff and put it on layaway and when I have everything I will be sure to do a shopping haul on my You Tube Channel: A.J Maire (shameless plug) so stay tuned for that. I also was thinking about gardening and cooking more, yes sounds soooo lame but I am kinda lame and that's ok lol. I am a girl who loves crafts and girly things but also a geek who loves wrestling, video games and the history channel.... oh future hubby you will be soooo lucky to have me lol.....Well that's it for me blathering away....
