Fashion Friday: Asa Soltan

This Friday I want to feature Asa Soltan. Asa is currently on Bravo reality show Shahs of Sunset and has the most sicken body I have ever seen! Can you say body goals. I always loved her style because she is a curvy girl and is never afraid to show off her curves in whatever she wears. Also if your a fan of the show like me, her accessories game is always on point. I chose her because she has this awesome site called Asa Loves www.asaloves.com. On this site she show cases all of her clothing loves and accessories loves and she has a nice range of sizes and prices. The styles are a mix of hip hop and boho and everything on the site is super cute...so go check it out! Below are some of my favorites from the site. Thank you reading and always stay fashionable :).

What's The T Thrusday: What Would You Do If You Caught Your Man or Women Cheating On You???

Hello everyone, it is Thursday so it is time for the latest gossip to hit the rumor mill. Soooooo singer actress Tiffany Evans, you may remember as the little girl who could sing her face off, who also played in the Tyler Perry Movie Diary Mad Black Women and when she got older she started her own music career for a brief period of time (Link below.)
Tyler Perry
Promise Ring Ft. Ciara
Any who, So Tiffany married a man named Lorenzo Henderson and they had a beautiful child together...Well "allegedly" he cheated on her :(. To put a cherry on top of this sundae, the women he was sneaking around with is also a married! According to her post she has been dealing with this for quite some time. Now when someone cheats on you it can be a very emotional experience especially when you have a built a family together. So Tiffany's emotions got the best of her and she blasted her husband and his mistress all on instagram. The first line reads "All 3 of you can keep yall little love triangle yall got going on! (she later deleted it) It was very long so I won't write all of it, but if you want to read the whole thing the link is below....
The reason I chose this story because I wanted to know What Would You Do If Your Husband or Wife Cheated On You?? Personally I am a emotional person and I would probably ask a bunch of why this, why that and cry. Even though I love extremely hard I know that in these type of situations I would have to leave the man completely alone. Even when you decided to work things out and they say it will never happen again there is still a dark cloud of insecurity and dis-trust over the relationship so getting back is not one of my options. One of my friends, on the other hand, would mostly likely beat both of them up, key his car, throw a brick through somebodies window, just kidding:) (no I'm totally serious lol.) I don't really like the idea of blasting someone on social media because even though it blast the person that did you wrong, it also puts your personal business out there for whoever to see :(....So what would you do? Put your answers in the comments below, I would love to hear them. I hope your having a great day..peace and hair grease lol :)

Whack Wednesday: Hair Breakage!!!

What's whack this Wednesday is the disappointing hair breakage. I, along with many others, am a victim of this. My problem was I was a dying, relaxing, heating loving fool and was rough with my hair :( Because my hair was so thick I was able to get away with murder but It all finally caught up with me. So now I have began to transition from relaxed to natural. I have stop the relaxing, I just started (like two days ago) using little to no heat, and have been trying to use more protective styles (pic below.) For those of you like me trying to take better care of their hair, here are some 5 hair tips to get you started while your on your journey to hair recovery. While I am giving you these tips I will also tell you what products I am using for myself (remember however, everyone is different and these products might not work for you).
1.Sulfate Free Shampoo: Sulfate or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) it can dry your hair and be very irritating to your skin and scalp.
I am currently using Cantu shea butter for Natural Hair Products: My Shampoo is Cantu sulfate-free cleansing cream shampoo

2. Condition, Condition, CONDITION:
African American hair tends to need lots and lost of moisture. You should do a Deep Condition every too weeks and also try a leave in condition for daily moisture. You can also try a daily moisture for extra moisture. DO NOT USE PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN PETROLEUM JELLY OR MINERAL OIL THEY CAN BE HARMFULL TO YOU AND HAIR.
For conditioning after shampoo I use Cantu sulfate-free hydrating cream conditioner....For my deep conditioning I use the Cantu Hair Deep Treatment Masque which I blend with the  Tea Tre & Jojoba hair & scalp oil (I dampen my hair, apply the product and then sit under heating cap for 30 min). I also use Cantu Leave-In Conditioning repair cream. I use the Leave-In when I'm doing a protective style because then I don't have to worry about it being too wet or drying it. I also use tea tree oil for everyday day use because my hair is itchy all the time and this helps it and promotes hair growth :)
3. Be Genital : When combing and brushing use a wide tooth comb and a paddle brush. Using small tooth combs can pull your hair. Our hair is also extra sensitive when wet so make sure to be genital and start from the ends and work your way up to the root when trying to detangle.
I use GOODY and CONAIR products ( I think lol)

4. Healthy Life Style = Healthy Hair: Water Water Water!! Eating Fresh Vegetables, Sleeping regularly, exercising (to reduce stress which can help with hair loss) also taking a multi vitamin all helps with hair growth. Taking care of our bodies helps to also taking care of our hair :)
5.Protective Hair Styles: Protective hair styles are any hair styles that you use little to no heat, ends can be protected and styles that don't have to be constantly re-done. Some great styles include twist, bantu knots, and braids.

I have chosen the curly route: I dampen my hair apply leave- in conditioner and roll my hair with sponge rollers  (I also USE END PAPERS to go over the sponge because the sponge can sometimes pull hair) and leave in over night and in the morning I have a curly bush of hair (pic below). I like this style because its girly, I use no heat and I can do so many things with my curls. You can also use hair pins, flex rods, straws (yes I said straws) and a rod set to create a curly hair style even if you don't have natural curly hair like me.

So those are my five tips, I hope they where helpful. Now I'm no hair specialist, I have been doing tons and tons of research for myself and wanted to share the basic knowledge I have learned with all of you. I have really just started myself and so far, using these tips I have seen some kind of results. When I get more length I'll post a before and after pic and give you some more great tips I learn along the way. Thank you always for reading :)

Truth Tuesday: My Opinion On Relationships

So its Tuesday and a lot is on my mind. I am a single women. I'm not looking because for one I'm still holding on to my past and honestly I have been scared because dating for me hasn't been the best experience. Literally I have started to talk to someone and the second day something sexual comes up or they were way to aggressive (a personal turn off). Now we're all adults (hopefully) and know that sex is one important part of a relationship so eventually there is lots of loving to be made but when you are meeting someone for the first time, in my opinion, if your really interested in them and want to eventually be in a relationship you want to get to know a little bit of who they are first. I'm using "people" because this applies to men & women. A lot of people don't want to take this step because their not interested in a relationship but shouldn't they be up front about that in the beginning. Some don't say anything because they selfishly want to have sex with that person and are afraid the truth will turn them away. Some are very honest but the other person foolishly thinks they can change their minds about relationships (once in a blue moon this actually happens but you should never think you can change a persons way of thinking.) It's  selfish to not be up front because some, including myself, sex is emotional and we can become very attached and hurt if it doesn't go in the relationship direction. That's why I personal try to avoid these type of situations. It seems that a lot of people have stop believing in things like love, relationships, dating and marriage. I think this comes from either a personal issue with the whole idea, feeling a since of being "trapped", or have seen really bad examples of relationships and marriage and have opted out. Strangely enough most of the same people are wanting/willing to make a baby with the same person they don't want to commit to...can somebody ANYBODY explain that one to me. This is sooooo disappointing to people like me who are still hopeless romantics. I have seen terrible examples of relationships/marriages and personally haven't been in the best relationships in the world but I still believe in happily ever after. I love when I see a couple that are not only lovers but best friends, that can argue but make up and say I love you after, couples that wouldn't dare cheat because they know there is no one else they rather be with. I know relationships aren't perfect but they can be perfect to you in your partner. I know it involves a lot of comprise, trust and commutation (just to name a few) and I think when you both agree to that your off to a great start and have an amazing future ahead of you. I would love to grow old and cranky with someone. Maybe one day, when I let go of my own past, a man will come my way (not too aggressively lol) that still believes in the things I do....I hope this wasn't too long lol. Thank you for taking the time to read this and tell me your thoughts on relationships in the comments below!!!
