Nails and nail design have become a fashion statement. Getting our nails done is to women what getting a fresh hair cut is to men; it's just something that make us feel fresh and on point. A lot of us, including me, love to add a little length and edge with acrylic nails. I also have a habit of biting my real nails, so the fake ones stop me from doing that. The promblems (among many) with fake nails is that you need to keep them up every two weeks by getting a refill. Which brings me to what's whack this Wednesday, Nails in desperate need of a refill (pic #1). It's not cute, it looks a mess and on several occasions I have been guilty of this. There is a number a reason why I waited so long, I hope you ladies can agree with me on this, sometimes I have been too busy to go to the salon, just was being lazy or I just didn't have the money, at the time, to get them done. I have come up with some options on how to avoid this problem. The first is the creative/non expensive options where you can buy little arts and crafts diamonds and glue (krazy glue works) them to the wide empty space and paint the top nail whatever color you would like. You also can paint the space a different color than the tip if you want to be a little bit more artsy (pic#2 & #3) in a effort to stall until you get your next refill. Another inexpensive option is the acrylic take home kit (pic#4,#5.) They sell these kits at drug stores, the 1st one below is from Rite Aide for $6.99 or from hair supply stores. The second kit was from the brand KISS it is priced at $11.99. There are tons more with much more stuff in it but if it cost over $12 you might has well go to the salon and just get the refill. The problem that I found using this kit is that it is hard to achieve that smooth look that you would get at the salon. Unless you know what your doing or have fancy nail tools, I wouldn't go with this option. The best option is to either go completely natural and paint away, which is what I am doing or go to the salon and get your nail did! I have pick a few cute options, down below, to keep in mind while your sitting in the salon chair. Thank you so much for reading, hope it helps, have a wonderful day and remember to always keep it cute :)
